Ni Hao — hello in Mandarin! You’ll hear it often as we begin our journey through China’s rich Islamic heritage.
Welcome to Beijing, a city where dynasties rose and fell, and where Muslim communities have quietly flourished for centuries. Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, we’ll transfer you to your comfortable 4-star hotel. Take time to rest, refresh, and settle in.
In the evening, we gather for prayer at Niujie Mosque, the oldest mosque in Beijing and a spiritual anchor for generations of Chinese Muslims. This first prayer together sets the intention for our journey — one rooted in reflection, learning, and presence.
Afterwards, we enjoy a halal welcome dinner, your first introduction to Chinese Muslim cuisine. This is a relaxed evening to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and ease into the rhythm of the journey.
